DIFFERENT FORMS OF TECHNOLOGY-INFUSED CLASSROOM SETTINGS

Some of the educators across the globe argue about the technology-infused classroom that what the idea of it is or what it looks like. In the modern-day education world, whether in Europe, America or Asia, the use of new, innovative and advanced educational technology—based tools, devices and systems in the class has become very popular and as dominant as printed text-books in the traditional classroom environment.

I am quite a younger educator and now I have understood what a learner anticipates from their overall learning process and experience. My insight is that students typically want to get knowledge with a pragmatic connection of skills in the class to practical skills that could be positively exploited in their future professional world and nothing will have a considerable impact on prospective skills of worker than their overall capability of functioning with a variety of software programs.

In fact, educators are responsible for deeply understanding a modern-day student who is tech-savvy and to be capable of understanding the ways they interestingly learn and a larger proportion of the tech-savvy learners can successfully learn by using the advanced educational technologies.

There are different forms of a technologically enhanced classroom setting:

A Virtual Classroom Setting

It is a classroom where students learn without any live instructor or teacher who is essential for the traditional classroom setting. It means that all the curriculum lessons and instruction is taught virtually by using the Internet technology.

Technology Dictated Classroom Setting

This classroom setting involves a traditional instructor or teacher but mostly the curriculum lessons are done by using different software programs, along with online labs and exercises. By choosing this classroom setting, students still get minimum interaction with their teachers but the bulk part of knowledge/information is being delivered by using a pre-set resource. The curriculum lessons and homework assignment projects are quite organized and structured but the class can’t interact with an instructor or teacher and this approach really helps in promoting a proper environment of learning.

Technology Enhanced Classroom Setting

The modern-day academicians and educators are responsible for making efforts to develop and enhance a quite efficient technology enhanced classroom environment. This classroom environment is basically a traditional one that still integrates and exploits resources that have established as quite effective for teachers for several years. These resources are using textbooks, collaborative learning communities and well-versed inspired teacher who is motivated and dedicated to students’ education.

Proper Guidelines to Develop a Highly Effective Technology-Infused Classroom

  • Active Engagement

New and innovative educational technology-based tools and systems that let every single member of a classroom, teachers and students, to become pro-actively engaged in technology to enhance classroom experience and to improve student learning outcomes.

  • Participation in Groups

The educational technology in a classroom should let teachers and students to become engaged in group discussion. There are many teachers who will frequently use tech-based Smart Whiteboards with the aim of helping all the learners participate at the same time in group tasks or discussion.

  • Frequent Interaction along with Feedback

Many programs are designed to repeat specific lesson points, but no better frequent interaction and feedback is there than through a teacher’s and students’ learning engagement in a lesson.

  • Connection to Real World Experts

New and innovative educational technologies have now let learners to become easily and conveniently connected with many real world experts who are energetically partaking in a given field by using many different collaboration apps.

The dictionary defines appreciation as "a favorablecritical estimate," "sensitive awareness" and "an expression ofadmiration, approval or gratitude." When you appreciate someone, youare tuned into a positive quality of another human being and expressyour gratitude for it. ...
