While printed books got us in the habit of reading, the trend of books is now shifting towards e-books. Though it is tough to make the shift from printed books to e-books, here are a few reasons why the trend of e-books is only going to continue in the future:

It promotes the habit of reading – People are now in front of screens for the most part of their day. If they can get access to books in such a scenario, it will promote reading and bring back the lost interest in books.

It helps in preserving literature – Books are susceptible to burns, natural calamities or any other hazards. We all know about the library of Alexandria that burnt down and took along all manuscripts and priceless books in the devastation. E-books will be here for generations and not get destroyed by floods, wars, vandalism or calamities.

They are environment-friendly – We are facing major problems with environment and e-books help in preserving trees, glue and ink. Their production also does not need power of a printing press. They don’t need to be transported and thus help in reducing pollution as well. With so many benefits to the environment, they are surely a great option!

It saves space – Homes are now becoming smaller due to space concerns and therefore, you might not have ample place to store all your beloved books. With e-books, you just need one device and you can have thousands of books with you wherever you go!

Better understanding with hyperlinks – Since e-books can be hyperlinked, you can get a clearer picture of certain topics since it can be directed to more information on the internet.

E-books are printable, downloadable and free in many cases. You can read them as per the font size you prefer, adjust the brightness, read in dim or no surrounding lights, etc. With all these advantages, e-books are definitely making their way in the future.

When you appreciate someone, youare tuned into a positive quality of another human being and expressyour gratitude for it. ...
