The Powis Parker Fastback scoring machineis designed to precisely add scores to most cover materials. Thesecrisp and straight scores provide folding lines or cosmetic creases onyour covers or card stock. Now you can make professional-looking boundbooks with pre-printed wraparound soft covers on your own desktop.Heat-sensitive materials and inks as well as toner-based digitalprinting may be used for your covers. Plus, the Fastback scoringmachine is a compression creasing device. Unlike rotary scorers, itwill not cause cracking when scoring digitally printed covers orprints.

With the Fastback Model 8 and 15xs series of binding machines you canquickly and easily bind your document pages. The full line ofPerfectback strip products allows you to complete the desktopproduction of your books - be it one or one thousand! Choose between alay-flat binding style or a fully bound spine. You can also scorefolders and greeting cards - even party hats and paper airplanes, ifyou like. Like all Powis Parker products, this Scorer is fast,versatile and easy to use.

The unique transparent die holder allows you to see and control exactlywhere you are scoring your cover. Plus the patented Powis CenteringGuide enables you to easily center a title on the spine of books up to1-1/2 inches thick. This makes the Powis Scoring Machine the idealchoice for creating high quality short run perfect binding covers withfull wrap printed spines.

The Powis Scorer has a transparent Die Holder that allows you to seeand position exactly where the metal Scoring Die will put a score onyour cover. Pushing the Lever to the left scores your cover. Pushing tothe right clamps a cover in place on the Platform. The Centering Guideallows you to easily center a title on the spine of your book cover,for any thickness book. The scoring device even shows you how to scoreyour cover for a centered spine title.

The Powis Parker Scoring Machine comes with a number of things in thebox with the machine. In addition to the scoring machine with the dieholder, it also includes an accessory pack. The accessory pack containsa starter kit with 5 narrow Perfectback LF (Lay Flat) strips, 3pre-printed wraparound covers, 1 demonstration cover, 2 extra dieholder pins and a users manual. This gives you everything that you willneed to try out your new scoring machine when you get it. You can evenuse the pre-printed covers and the LF strips to practice creating yourown perfect bound documents with your Fastback binding system.

The Fastback scoring machine comes standard with a double blade scoringdie. However, a single blade knife is also available for this machine.Switching dies is actually quite easy. All you need to do is remove thepins from the front and back of the die holder. You will be able tolift the old die out and then place the new die into the machine. It isextremely easy.
