Students on their part have to be on the alert to practice the questions for the entrance exams, on their own. It is the students that are required to toil. For the FMS exam, the pattern is like any other management entrance exam, where logical ability, English comprehension, quantitative questions are the common. Alternatively, they can also look at the internet for the syllabus and the types of questions that can possibly be asked. For better success chances, students should opt for practice of various test papers from previous years. When students are appearing for a single exam where they can choose to appear in one stream, they should be aware of the syllabus.

For the CET exam, which is conducted by the Maharashtra government, the students can select the topic that they want to appear in. the CET exam is conducted for the admissions into medical, engineering, and pharmacy courses in different government and private colleges in Maharashtra. Students can appear for this exam and answer the question papers related to their streams and appear for admissions in the respective colleges according to their ranks. For this exam also, they need to prepare for their particular stream according to the syllabus that has been provided to them in the prospectus.

For students interested in medical colleges, need to stress upon the biology subjects, while those wishing for engineering stream should stress more on the mathematic part. When students are preparing for the GCET 2012, they should similarly prepare in the courses for management like other colleges. The Gujarat common entrance test 2012 for MBA would be held somewhere around the month of June and therefore students should be firstly, aware of the dates. Then they can prepare according to the syllabus and practice a lot of similar type questions.

The entrance exams that are conducted, give a once in a year opportunity to the students to prepare themselves. Without a good backing knowledge and thorough information on the syllabus, the students would miss out on the questions, thus dampening their chances of cracking the exams. This leads to a years loss, which is quite difficult to be compensated. Good preparation is only possible, if the aspiring candidates are aware about the course that they would have to answer from, in the exams.
