There was a time, for a few months, when there was one best ebook reader on the market. But, it sure didnt take long before many other companies got in on the action. When they did so, they actually improved the products and now have created ebook readers with many more features and that work a lot better than the original ones. The original ones were thick and sort of cumbersome, but the newer ones are much sleeker and allow you to perform more functions and download books quicker than ever.

That being said, there is no best ebook reader on the market that is best for everyone. You will probably find that some of the highest rated ebook readers are missing a particular level of functionality that you are looking for, or that a very inexpensive one would suit you just fine. There are now several very good ebook readers that cost under $200 that meet the needs of almost all readers.

One thing you will find when you get your first ebook reader is that you really do enjoy reading more, and that means that you will end up buying more books. But, the good news is that books for these devices are extremely inexpensive, and you will usually save anywhere from five to twenty dollars off the cover price of a book by buying its electronic version instead of the hardback.

There are several factors that you should look for when you are trying to find the best ebook reader for you. First of all is the size. Some people like a larger screen because they can view more text at the same time. On the other hand, some people really prefer a smaller size because it is easier to carry and more comfortable in the hand for extended periods of time.

You will also want to pay attention to the way in which you download books and other reading materials. Some people dont mind hooking up their ebook reader to their computer with a cable, while others prefer to download their materials using a cell phone signal or a Wi-Fi signal.

All that should matter to you is that you have a good quality reader with a warranty. In an ideal world, it should also allow you to read all the materials you want in a comfortable manner, without costing you a fortune to buy.
