This is one of the most splendid structures of Rome that was constructed in 1642 by Gian Lorenzo Bernini. This great structure can really mesmerize your senses and it contains the figures of a sea monster that is half man and half fish. The monster is seated on the valves of an open shell which shows the great imagination of the artists who created this structure.

4. The Fountain of Neptune
The Fountain of Neptune is also known as the Calderai because it is located very close to the workshops of the artists who made structures with copper. It contains the figure of Neptune fighting with a sea monster.

5. The Fountain of Books
The Fountain of Books is built very close to the complex of Sant'Ivo alla Sapienza where the University of Rome was located earlier. It has three water levels with a deer's head in between.

6. Fountain of the moor
This fountain was constructed by Ottavio Gracchi in 1570 and is located in Piazza del Popolo. It contains a large basin which has been be carefully engraved to resemble the other parts of the fountain. The structure is beautifully lit at night which makes it s a very exotic sight.
