The Fountain of Books is built very close to the complex of Sant'Ivo alla Sapienza where the University of Rome was located earlier. It has three water levels with a deer's head in between.

This fountain was constructed by Ottavio Gracchi in 1570 and is located in Piazza del Popolo. It contains a large basin which has been be carefully engraved to resemble the other parts of the fountain. The structure is beautifully lit at night which makes it s a very exotic sight.
