It can get hard to know what to look for or which one to even go for because there are so many of them on the shelves nowadays. Here are some tips for beginners to help you understand a little more.
Size of the Reader

There are some readers that are larger and bulkier than others. When you find one that you want, you are going to need to determine the size of it, and this can be done by checking out the specs on the box of the device. Some people like a more compact and smaller deice while others do not mind the thicker and bulkier ones. You should also pay attention to the weight of the reader. This will help you determine the one for you. Some weigh about the same as a paperback book and some weigh more or even a little less.

Supported File Formats

When you are looking for an eBook reader, the type of files that can be viewed and stored on it is very important. Some people just want one to look at eBooks, while others want one that can support and play their mp3 music. Determine what you are looking for and desire in a reader, and then look for the readers that support those specific types of files.

Content Downloads

When you get a reader, there is not going to be any content on it, so you are going to have to put what you want to read on the device. You can do this by buying content, and some reader companies are now partnering up with other sites that will allow you to download free content from the site. You can also do a search online to find content for your reader.
