A recent announcement by the DVD Copy Control Association (DVD CCA) as of September 19, 2007 approved a final copy-protection specification for on-demand disc burning, making this new trend of particular interest.

The entire process helps reduce the up-front cost of producing multiple quantities which eliminates inventory and obsolescence costs of pre-produced inventory.
