Girl With Dragon Tattoo Sequel Delayed Past 2013


The sequel to last yearsThe Girl With The Dragon Tattoois still in the works and will not be released next year as had been expected,reportsEntertainment Weekly.

According to a source close to the film, screenwriter Steven Zaillian,who also pennedDragon Tattoo,is still working on the script forThe Girl Who Played With Fire, and the production cannot proceed until hes finished.The source added that while a release date at this point is unknown, the film is moving forward.

Dragon Tattoostars Rooney Mara and Daniel Craig are both locked in to return as protagonists Lisbeth Salander and Mikael Blomkvist, respectively. No one is attached yet to direct, thoughDragon TattoodirectorDavid Fincherremains the first choice and has yet to rule out helming the sequel.

Zaillian last yeartalked withRolling Stoneabout his screenwriting process and working with Fincher.
