Watch Gal Gadot Embrace Destiny in Thrilling Wonder Woman Trailer


Diana Prince (Wonder Woman), played by actressGal Gadot,defies her mothers wishes and fulfills her destiny as an ass-kicking superhero in the final Wonder Woman trailer.

The clip, which premiered during Sundays MTV Movie & TV Awards, opens with the young protagonist, princess Diana, living on the fictional Amazonian island of Themyscira. Fighting does not make you a hero, her mother warns. Be careful with mankind, Diana. They do not deserve you.

But instead of staying clear of humans, Diana becomes entangled in World War I after uniting with American Army pilot Steve Trevor (Chris Pine) and joining the battle as Wonder Woman. The trailer showcases her varied superpowers including an arsenal of moves with her iconic, bullet-blocking shield and teases some lighter, more comedic moments, like dealing with the restrictive clothing of the early 20th century.

The Patty Jenkins-directed Wonder Woman, the fourth title in the DC Extended Universe, is out June 2nd.
